Perfect composition, great light — except for a stranger in the corner, a power line across the sky, or a half-finished drink on the table. This used to mean two choices: live with it, or spend a week learning Photoshop. Now there's a third: brush over it and let AI fill the hole.

How Inpainting Works — and Its Limits

Erasing is really "patching": AI synthesizes texture from the surrounding area to fill the brushed region. Which means:

  • Cleaner backgrounds patch better. Sky, grass, solid walls, and regular textures (brick, foliage) are the easy cases.
  • Small, isolated objects come out best. Passersby, trash cans, wires, watermark logos — brush them out and they're gone.
  • Big, complex structures are risky. Erase a car in front of a row of shops and AI has to invent the storefronts — the signage will mostly be gibberish.

How to Brush Properly

  • Brush tight. Cover the object itself, not a huge halo around it — the more area AI has to invent, the weirder it gets.
  • One object per pass. Handle multiple targets in separate passes, each working from the previous clean result.
  • Zoom out after erasing. Flaws invisible up close show up at normal viewing size — check color and texture continuity.

It Doesn't Replace Reshooting

If the object covers something essential — a face, a product logo — erasing can't help. What's gone is gone. This tool solves "the subject is great, but there's junk in the frame."
