Frequently Asked Questions
What can the AI Image Toolkit do?
It brings AI upscaling, object removal and poster generation into separate tool pages. AI background removal has its own page, with local model and cloud Recraft modes.
How is it priced, do I need an account?
Sign in to use cloud AI with account credits; you only spend credits when you process a file. The free in-browser tools elsewhere on the site stay free; only these cloud-powered AI features are metered.
Are my processed images stored?
No. The AI features run in the cloud, but results are returned only to you and aren't reused for anything else — see the privacy policy for details. If you prefer everything to stay on your device, the local compression and vectorize tools never upload at all.
What is AI upscaling good for?
Enlarging small or low-resolution images while keeping edges sharp — think product photos that need to fill a larger frame, small avatars, or old pictures you want to print. It reconstructs detail rather than just stretching pixels, so the result looks far cleaner than a plain resize.
Do these AI features run locally?
AI upscaling, object removal and poster generation use cloud services and account credits. The separate background-removal page also offers a local model mode; images stay on your device when you choose it.
Where can I remove an image background?
Open the separate AI Background Remover page. Choose the local model to keep images on your device, or cloud Recraft, which uploads images for processing and uses account credits. Both modes support transparent, white or custom backgrounds.
What image formats and sizes are accepted?
Common formats like JPG, PNG and WebP are accepted. If an image is too large it may be rejected, so compress it first with the free image tool and then retry — that usually resolves it.
